Judith ’65 and Louis H. Kistner

Judith Richardson Kistner, class of '65, and her husband Louis H. Kistner met as children living in the same Baltimore neighborhood. They grew up together and along the way became best friends. When Lou left for Vietnam, they corresponded; and six months after his return, they married.

Judy graduated cum laude from Towson State College with a B.S. in education and taught in public and private schools. "I loved my time at Towson and had a wonderful experience. The professors were wonderful, and I am still in touch with guys and gals from my class."

Lou received his undergraduate degree from Loyola College and his master's from Johns Hopkins. He is the principal of his own external and government relations consulting firm and is as enthusiastic about Towson as Judy. They visit campus often for arts and athletic events.

The Kistners wanted to do something for Towson and to support students. After reviewing their estate plans, they elected to include a bequest in their wills that will one day establish the Judith Richardson Kistner and Louis Kistner Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Elementary Education.
